Disneyland Mike Fink Keel Boats Refloat – Reliving My Youth
Have you ever had the opportunity to go back and live a part of your life that was very special to you? Well recently, I did with the Mike Fink Keel Boats Refloat. Those Were The Days Whether it was the Bertha Mae or the Gullywhumper, it really didn’t matter. As long as I had a shift on the Mike Fink Keel Boats, I was a happy camper. There was something very special about working the Mike Fink Keel Boats at Disneyland. It was an attraction where you had a bit of freedom to go off the cuff and make a very enjoyable experience for the guests. For those that…

Barramundi Fishing with Osceola Outback Adventures Florida
Barramundi Fishing with Osceola Outback Adventures I recently had a pretty incredible opportunity to check another fish species off of the bucket list. After this years ICAST show in Orlando, we had the chance to get out and fish with Osceola Outback Adventures for Australian Barramundi. We didn’t even have to travel all the way to Australia to do it. In fact, we hopped in our rental and drove about 45 minutes to St. Cloud Florida which is just outside of Orlando. This is the only place in the northern and western hemispheres that you can actually fish for Barramundi. For those of you that may not know, Barramundi are…

What is Zzyzx?
As you go through life you gather experiences and memories that hopefully will last a lifetime. Certain smells, sights, songs and friends that as soon as you encounter them, you fill with joy. We all have them. They can be something like a traumatic experience that maybe brought you closer to someone, or the smell of saltwater that brings you back to childhood memories of playing on the beach with family and friends. One of these for me is driving up the 15 freeway just past the city of Barstow and coming up on the exit sign to the city of Zzyzx. Zzyzx? What in the world is a Zzyzx? …

Pirates Cove Resort & Marina- Stuart Florida
The sun slowly rises over the horizon as you sit on your patio sipping a delicious cup of coffee. You watch a variety of boats pull in and out of the dock out in front of your room as you listen to the hum of the motors. You find yourself with a variety of options for morning festivities as you walk down to the main hub of Pirates Cove Resort in Stuart Florida. Stuart is located along south eastern coast of Florida just a couple hours north of Miami and a short drive north of West Palm Beach. Pirates Cove Resort is tucked in to the harbor along Indian River. …

Sister Sicily Pizza & Pasta
As most residents of Yorba Linda know, finding a great little restaurant is not the easiest of tasks. My wife and I were craving some good pasta and were on the hunt. We were doing some Yelp searches and happened upon Sister Sicily Pizza & Pasta on Yorba Linda Boulevard in Yorba Linda California. What a great little find this turned out to be. Sister Sicily Pizza & Pasta is a very small sit down restaurant found right in the Stater Brothers shopping center on the corner of Lakeview and Yorba Linda Blvd. With the option of Japanese, Chinese, Poke, as well as a Mc Donalds and Panda Express, this…

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute- Tactical Shotgun Course
This past weekend I had the opportunity to get out and partake in the Tactical Shotgun Course at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump Nevada. This is a course that takes you through the ins and out of owning a shotgun and having it available and ready to use in the extreme case that you need to defend yourself and your loved ones. I have been a gun owner for as long as I can remember. And with that, a trained gun owner who takes ownership very seriously. I have always felt that if you want to be a gun owner, you need to be a responsible gun…

Have you tried Da Rae Korean Restaurant in Fullerton?
For all of my SoCal friends who like to get out and try new food excursions, take a look at Da Rae Korean Restaurant in Fullerton. If you enjoy Bibimbap, and I do, this place is definitely worth a look. Tucked away in a little strip mall on the corner of Yorba Linda Blvd and N. Placentia Ave in Fullerton, it may be a little hard to find. Not really difficult as it is in the Target shopping center, but tucked back behind a bigger Japanese restaurant. The restaurant itself isn’t very big. They had maybe a dozen or so tables. There was a sign in sheet on the door…

Savage Gear Suicide Duck at Lake El Salto Mexico
Last year I had the opportunity to get down to Lake El Salto to shoot some Suicide Duck footage with Shea from Stoked On Fishing and FLW and Okuma Pro Todd Kline. This was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I have been down to the lake several times and it is one of my top bass fishing destinations. It is still pretty rugged, but an experience like no other. First of all, our trip started off great. Flights were on time, food was good, and the ride to the lake was uneventful. Raul picked us up at the Mazatlan airport, and off we went. We were greeted at the…

Steelhead Fishing the PNW
I had a really incredible chance to get up to Washington to fish with Cameron Black of Fishing Addicts Northwest. The weather has been very dry up his way, and the rivers were very low. Cameron called a couple of days before and asked if we’d be opposed to doing a drift trip on the skinny water in his inflatable. He mentioned we’d have to get out and pull the boat over rocks and around trees in a few spots, but the fish were there. I thought it sounded like a pretty incredible opportunity, so we took it. Okuma VP Sam Brenner, and I drove down from Seattle and met…
