SEEKWAY Water Shoes- Could These Be the Ultimate Water Shoes?
SEEKWAY Water Shoes
As a guy who spends a lot of time in and around the water, I am always looking for a better water shoe. The new Seekway Water Shoes may have finally hit all of my check boxes.
Whether on my kayak or walking a beach, I am usually somewhere near the water. I have tried everything from deck boots, tennis shoes, various water shoes and even flip flops. The new SEEKWAY Water Shoes so far have been the ultimate. Comfortable, non-slip, packable, lightweight, quick drying and durable.
Comfortable
The new SEEKWAY Water Shoes are very comfortable. They feature a nice snug fit that is restricting. The opening at the ankle has a nice stretch and felt very nice and comfortable with no rough edges.
They were very easy to pull on with a tab on the tongue as well as the heel.
The elastic lace enclosure keeps the shoes snug to the feet without feeling restricted.
The SEEKWAY Water Shoe is very comfortable to walk in. They feature a comfortable foam insert with plenty of padding for all day walking, and walking over uneven and rough surfaces.
Non-Slip Sole
The SEEKWAY Water Shoes feature a rugged and durable rubber outsole that really grips different surfaces. As a guy who spends a lot of time walking on wet, slippery rocks, it is nice to have a pair of shoes that I can feel safe in.
I find the soles to be plenty thick and seem to keep my feet from being poked by sharp rocks, urchins and shells.
Being around the water, another important feature is drainage. These shoes dry very quickly as each of the shoes contains 8 drainage holes that seem to drain the shoes quickly. This is important in that I have found some water shoes fill up with water and can easily fall off. These don’t do that.
Flexibility
Even with the thick sole on the SEEKWAY Water Shoes, I find them to be very flexible and form fitting.
Overall they are a very thin shoe that his easily packable for your weekend getaways. Throw them in your backpack, or behind the seat of your car, you can cram them just about anywhere.
And speaking of packing and transport, these shoes are very lightweight. I don’t know the actual weight of each shoe, but they weigh about as much as my flip flops do.
Breathability
I spoke about the drainage of the SEEKWAY Water Shoes, but not the breathability. These shoes are very breathable and cool. The lightweight, mesh upper keeps a nice flow of air moving through the shoe.
Here is a look at the inside. You can see the light coming through the upper.
Conclusion
Overall I really like these shoes. With all of the points above, you really can’t go wrong with a water shoe that comes in at just about $20. Really, only $20. Not bad at all.
One thing to note, I believe they offer these shoes in 18 different color options. Each option has a bit different side pattern and for reference, the shoes I have are the Gray 422.
