FishLab Rattle Toad – Davey’s Pick of the Week

FishLab Rattle Toad -Top Water Excitement

As we come to the end of summer, and roll into fall, my pick of the week for Sep 15, 2020 is the FishLab Rattle Toad.

FIshLab Rattle Toad - Awesome Top Water Fishing

These baits are awesome! The Top Water explosions they get are incredible.

When these baits hit the market at the end of 2019, early 2020, there was a buzz right away. There are a few frogs out there that make noise, but the Rattle Toad is unique with its built in rattle chamber and the top secret monster size frog. That is exactly what you want when you are out bass fishing and looking for that monster Largemouth bass. Of course Smallmouth and recently Snakehead have been chomping at these things as well.

What Makes The Rattle Toad Unique?

Coming in with three sizes, the Rattle Toad offers a great variety for your frog fishing needs. FishLab offers a 2 1/4″, 2 3/4″ and a MONSTER 3 1/2″ Rattle Toad which is the biggest frog on the market.

The Rattle Toad frogs all feature a built in rattle chamber that is mounted right in the head giving the frog extra weight up front keeping it sitting flat on the water surface. They also feature a floating leg skirt giving the Rattle Toad a great bottom profile. And as I have said in the past, the devil is in the details. These baits have a ton of detail topside giving it a true frog look. Very exciting! For tips on fishing the Rattle Toad, click HERE.

The Rattle Toad is a very easy bait to work. Walk the Dog, Twitch, or just straight retrieve, you get plenty of action. In fact, here is a swimming action video that FishLab put out recently.

New From FishLab- Rattle Toad Popping Frog

They aren’t quite out yet, but FishLab is releasing a new Popping Frog within the Rattle Toad lineup. It will be in the same colors and sizes as the current Rattle Toad, but will have that giant mouth giving a HUGE splash on every twitch.
Here is a video review of the new Popping Frog.

Once these are available, you’ll be able to find them at your favorite retailers.

Here is a great video of the swimming action as well.
